Today, the population is approximately 12,000 and is a thriving community offering a variety of restaurants, bed and breakfasts and specialty shops. Elmira is known for holding the world's largest Maple Syrup Festival every year. This annual festival is held each spring and attracts 60,000 visitors to this one-day event. | |||
